Day 1 Chiang Mai – Arrival & Khantoke Welcome Dinner (-/-/D)

Upon arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, our driver warmly welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Northern Thailand’s cultural capital. 

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner accompanied by classical Lanna cultural performances including traditional music and graceful northern Thai dances. This cultural dining experience offers a wonderful introduction to the heritage and traditions of the ancient Lanna Kingdom. After dinner, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 2 Chiang Mai Temples & Old City Discovery (B/L/-)

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your exploration of Chiang Mai with a visit to the city’s most sacred landmark, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, located on a scenic mountain overlooking the city. Climb the famous naga staircase or take the tram to reach the temple, where golden pagodas, intricate carvings, and panoramic views await. Your guide shares the temple’s spiritual significance and fascinating history. Continue to Chiang Mai Old City to discover the rich heritage of the former Lanna Kingdom. Visit Wat Chedi Luang, known for its impressive partially ruined ancient chedi, and Wat Phra Singh, one of Northern Thailand’s most revered temples featuring beautiful Lanna-style architecture. 

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue exploring the charming old quarters, local markets, and traditional streets of Chiang Mai. You may also visit local handicraft shops featuring wood carving, silk, silverware, and traditional northern Thai products. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. The evening is free at leisure. You may choose to explore Chiang Mai’s famous Night Bazaar or enjoy local cafés and restaurants at your own pace.

Day 3 Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle (B/L/-)

After breakfast, depart by road for Chiang Rai, enjoying scenic countryside views, mountain landscapes, and rural villages along the journey. Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, visit the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), one of Thailand’s most remarkable contemporary temples, admired for its dazzling white architecture and artistic symbolism. Continue to the Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten), known for its vibrant blue interior and striking modern Buddhist artwork. 

After lunch at a local restaurant, continue north towards the legendary Golden Triangle region where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet along the Mekong River. Visit the Golden Triangle viewpoint and admire panoramic views over the mighty Mekong River and the surrounding landscapes. Enjoy a short Mekong River boat excursion offering a closer look at the river scenery and border landscapes before continuing to the Hall of Opium Museum, where interactive exhibits provide insight into the history of the region and the former opium trade routes. Transfer to your hotel in Chiang Rai for check-in. The evening is at leisure.

Day 4 Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai (B/L/-)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a relaxed morning in Chiang Rai before beginning the journey back to Chiang Mai. Along the way, stop at selected scenic viewpoints, local markets, or tea plantation areas where you can enjoy the refreshing mountain atmosphere and beautiful northern landscapes. 

Lunch is served at a local restaurant en route. Arrive back in Chiang Mai in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free at leisure. You may wish to enjoy a traditional Thai massage, explore local cafés, or revisit the night markets for shopping and local street food experiences.
