Day 1 Arrival in Mandalay – Overland Journey to Bagan (-/-/D)
Welcome to Myanmar! Upon arrival at Mandalay International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your local English-speaking guide. From here, begin your scenic overland journey to Bagan, traveling through the heart of central Myanmar’s dry zone. Along the way, observe the changing landscapes and gain insight into the daily lives of local communities, offering an authentic introduction to the country.
After the journey, arrive in Bagan, one of Southeast Asia’s most remarkable archaeological sites. As you approach, you will witness the breathtaking sight of thousands of ancient temples and pagodas scattered across the plains — a truly unforgettable first impression. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 Bagan Temple Exploration & Sunset Cruise (B/L/D)
After breakfast, begin your exploration of Bagan with a visit to Nyaung U Market, a lively local market where you can observe the daily rhythm of local life and see a variety of fresh produce, regional products, and traditional goods.
Continue to a traditional bean paste workshop, where you will learn about one of Bagan’s well-known local products and its production process. Next, visit the magnificent Shwezigon Pagoda, an important religious site dating back to the 11th century, beautifully covered in gold leaf. Continue to Ananda Temple, one of Bagan’s most revered and architecturally impressive temples, known for its harmonious design and intricate artistic features, including murals, sandstone carvings, and Buddha statues.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit a lacquerware workshop, where skilled artisans demonstrate the intricate craftsmanship behind this traditional art form. You may also browse for unique handmade souvenirs. In the late afternoon, head to the banks of the Ayeyarwady River and board a local boat for a relaxing sunset cruise. As the sun sets over the river, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views with refreshing local drinks.

Day 3 Bagan Countryside Experience – Transfer to Mandalay (B/L/D)

After this memorable experience, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Bagan. In the afternoon, depart Bagan and travel overland back to Mandalay. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before checking in to your hotel.
